Back by popular demand! We will cruise some back roads in Granite Bay and Loomis with a coffee stop at the Flower Farm. Both short and long are C routes defined as: Moderate - Hilly; a challenge for the average rider. Short route may not be swept, TBD, so please plan on riding with a friend. Please bring water and snacks in case Flower Farm is crowded!

Yay for Birthdays!!! Join me to do my age in km to one of my favorite ice tea spots-Coffee Republic- 1B (42.8 miles), 1151 ft of climbing. This will be a medium paced ride with some hills to climb.

We'll leave Town Center in Gold River, ride to the fish hatchery on Gold Country Blvd., then take the bike trail to William Pond Park where restrooms are available. We ride the 20 miles at a leisurely pace, take a break at the park then ride back to Gold River. Coffee at Starbuck's or lunch at Jack's for more socializing are options after the ride. This is a favorite ride for all levels of riders.

October 2 Sacramento Century Challenge: Capitol Mall, Sacramento. The Sacramento regions premier cycling event to benefit the Sacramento Children’s Home Crisis Nursery! Registration opened on 6/1 with two options for you to participate in this event. The first option is the in person bike ride on Saturday, 10/2 to wind through the scenic Delta wine region. Fun and flat distances: 100 mi.$95.00, 63 mi $85.00, 36 mi., $75.00 16 mi. $65.00. At this time we plan to have our Post Ride Festival with live music, great food and beer and wine vendors. With the sun rising over the State Capitol all four of the rides cross the Sacramento River on the Tower Bridge and head South towards Isleton. The Full Century rides as far as Isleton, while progressively shorter loops create the Metric Century, ½ Century and Fun Ride. The Full Century Includes 6 Delta Island

This Tour offers a wonderful Spring day of riding the scenic back
roads of Lincoln and South Placer County. Great new routes this year!
The ride is fee based and includes a continental breakfast, well stocked rest stops
along the routes, a great post-ride BBQ lunch. Area bike
shops provide minor repairs at the start/finish and at some of the
rest stops for your convenience. The Tour offers three courses: The
Metric Quarter Century (approx 16 miles, 537n ft climbing), the Metric Half Century (32 miles, 1309 ft climbing), and the Metric Century (63 miles, 3826 ft climbing).
Directions: From Sacramento take I-80 East toward Reno then Hwy 65 North to the
Lincoln Blvd. exit, turn right. Travel 2 miles then turn right onto
65 McBean Park Dr. Lincoln Ca. 95648 /Hwy 193. Follow the signs

D/E 20-32 miles. Join us for our classic no-sweep Fall soup ride before enjoying delicious soups created by club members! Start at Five Points Shopping Center (see Ride Start List for directions). We’ll pedal to the Nimbus Fish Hatchery or to Beal's Point (for those that want a challenge) and return to Wm. Pond Park for hot soup, snacks & friendship. We will depart 5 Points Shopping Center with the Sacramento Wheelmen to purchase turkeys at Save Mart on Folsom Blvd and deliver them to the Sacramento Food Bank so those in need can also enjoy a feast at Thanksgiving. We will ride to lunch afterwards at a to-be-determined restuarant.
The ride is approximately 20 miles and flat. There will be little extra effort as many people will transport turkeys.

We will ride down the trail to the Scottish Rite Temple to support and provide course monitoring for Sacramento's Run to Feed the Hungry event, the largest Thanksgiving Day event in the country. The ride will not be swept and you'll need to find your way home after.
