Join us for our regular series of night trail rides along the bike trail. Fridays we will head up the trail from Gold River to Beal's point and back. Each week we will alternate going up the North side and the South side to get a change of scenery and some extra climbing. The North side days will include climbing up Folsom Lake Crossing. South side days will have some rollers up Johnny cash and a nice descent down Folsom Lake Crossing.

Routes are approximately 27 miles and climbing will vary depending on the direction we choose for the week (not to exceed 1200 ft). Please come prepared with a light as the last few minutes of the ride may be at twilight and require it.

This is a C grade ride due to the climbing and the faster pace of 15-18mph. Slower riders may not be swept.

Dad would like some lemonade for his Fathers Day. So we are going to Wow Wow Lemonade just east of Serrano to get some for him. Did I say his is free! This ride has some climbing and great downhills. It uses the usual roads to Rescue. You can get some water at the fire station there before heading to Cameron Park. From there we go to Bass Lake Road and its nice little bike trail that takes us to Wow Wow Lemonade. After our lemonade we go on Serrano Pkwy to Greenview Road, one of the most beautiful, nicest, quietest roads around. Then we head back.

Our traditional pre-picnic ride will be led by Ray Billings. The ride start, and sign-in and out, is from William Pond at 9:00am. Parking is $5.00 at the lot but feel free to park at Five Points and ride in. Ray is offering routes from 10-38 miles so there is an option for everyone. Display your club pride by wearing a Bike Hiker jersey if you have one.

The jersey swap begins at 10:30am and is a great opportunity to acquire some cool cycling wear and let go of what you no longer need. Carole Magnusson and Ruth Anderson will be collecting jerseys and jackets only. You can either do a free jersey-for-jersey swap, or pay $5 for a jersey. Contact Ruth at ruthmft@comcast.net.

The picnic begins at 11:00am. The menu includes vegetarian and gluten free options this year along with the usual delicious picnic fare. Accommodations have been made to insure Covid safety, but masks are not required at this outdoor event. Seating is limited so consider bringing chairs or blankets. We have enough volunteers (thank you!) but if you have something to share contact Phyllis Billings at 916-338-7112 or 916-662-1213. AND, make sure to bring your significant other even if they are not a member.

We have waited a long time to gather, joke and laugh, and share a meal with the entire club. It won’t be the same without you - please join us!

We've cleaned mile 3N many times in the past; this year we requested and got mile 12N, which is also the mile the club financially sponsors. T-shirts, gloves, water and pizza will be provided. It is recomended we NOT ride our bikes to the clean up spot because bike parking isn't secure. Car parking is available in the parking lot south of the bike trail at the Harrington access to the trail and the river. Public restrooms are available in the parking lot.
