Beginning at Gold River this ride takes us clockwise around Lake Natomas and on a short jaunt up the Johnny Cash Trail (about 1 mile). We will proceed to Karen's Bakery for a coffee stop and then complete our loop around the lake.

Deb Burns, Executive Director of Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocates (SABA) will be our guest speaker for the evening. Our club supports this organization through an annual donation so come and learn more about the innovative cycling advocacy we are helping to provide.

This ride starts in the parking to of the Twin Oaks Baptist Church and rambles through some lovely Granite Bay neighborhoods. We cross a few major streets, and then take some rolling, hilly curves through the park at Folsom Lake, a 6-mile out-and-back cruise through the park.

We will not provide cue sheets but we stay together and re-group at numbers stops.
We generally stop at a pavilion to re-hydrate, snack and enjoy the view.

Climbing up to Newcastle Produce. Not much climbing on the way back to Maidu Park. Toughest climb is 6% on Newcastle Rd, not stopping at Denny's (unless you want to). This is the original, slightly shorter version of the Newcastle Produce-1A ride from 2018, continuing on Sierra College Blvd over I-80 instead of detouring on Granite Dr.

The ride starts from the Loomis train station at 8:00 am. The long route will take Ridge Road while the short route will follow Wise Rd. Restrooms are available in the parking lot. Another restroom opportunity is available at mile 9.0 in McBean Park in both routes.

Come out and enjoy a breakfast ride to Ashley's Country Kitchen.
There are 2 options. Both rides start from Five Points and go up the north side of the trail and exit at Main. Ashley's is located at the north east corner of Main and Madison.

Option 1: Approximately 28 miles out and back.

This is an 18 mile route for beginning riders or anyone wanting to go at a slower pace (minimum 10+mph/average pace). Departure time is 8:30am. We will ride east and loop around the scenic Lake Natoma. We plan to have a group stop midway at Karen's Bakery for coffee and snacks. Please bring water and a spare tube.
