UPDATE TO THE (LONG ROUTE) UPDATE with a note from Mark and Michele: We rode out to Beeks Bight about a week ago. The gravel path is blocked by a chain link fence at the road. Riders will need to walk their bike on short dirt path on the left and down a shallow ditch to get to the paved road. You can ride it if you have a mountain or gravel bike but I think most would want to get off their bike and walk it. It's very doable.

UPDATE: Due to the continued road closure inside Granite Bay State Park, I have had to change the long route to one that works around the closure so we can still head out to Beeks Bight. Do note that about 1/10 of a mile is on a "rideable" gravely-path. The lupines are starting to bloom, so hopefully we have a beautiful showing at Beek's Bight. The short route remains the same.


Hope to see you Wednesday for our breakfast ride from Gold River to Susie's Country Oaks Cafe in Granite Bay, and perhaps, beyond to Beeks Bight!
