SBH Ride Updates

Sunday, April 14 PP Volunteer Ride
Author Last Post

Hello Party Pardee Volunteers,

After careful consideration, the ride tomorrow from Ione is a go. The weather forecast is predicting a cool and cloudy day with a temperature of 50 deg. at 9:00 a.m.

There are several bailout points if you do not want to do the entire length of the 45 and 65 mile routes. You can bailout at the 26 mile turn and if doing the long route you can bail at the 45 mile turn. You can even cut the 45 mile route short by not going all the way down to Valley Springs.

Since there are few services along the route, please bring plenty of snacks and drinks. There is a store at mile 14 on all routes, a minimart gas station at mile 29 in Wallace on the 65 mile route, and services in Valley Springs at mile 49 for the long route and at mile 29 for the 45 mile route.

See the event calendar for the RWGPS links. I tried to link them here but the page froze.

All three ride leaders plan to attend.

We hope to see you there.

Barbara, Carolyn, and Mark

Hello Folks,

Here we are again, unsure about the weather for the Volunteer ride. My apps show rain ending in the early Sunday morning hours but there could be a chance of lingering showers, later in the day, depending on the location.

I will send an update Saturday afternoon to let you know if the ride is canceled or still a go. If we do ride, expect a cool start and cooler temperatures throughout the day, unlike the last few days.

Hope to see you Sunday.

Mark
