It is the right time of year to go back to Apple Hill via the El Dorado Trail. The ride starts at the beginning of the trail in the town of El Dorado. The rest stop is at the beautiful Drew Bean Farm (Café), located in the heart of Apple Hill.

This year's route is slightly different from previous years because of a closure between Ray Lawyer Drive (mile 5.1) and Main Street in Placerville. To avoid the closure, we will turn right onto Forni Road and stay on it until we reach Main Street. The detour is only 1 mile long and runs parallel to the trail, so it adds no additional mileage.

I don't plan to print many route sheets, so please print and bring your own copy, just in case I am pleasantly surprised and many of you show up.

Additional instructions for the ride start location at 4500 Oriental St, El Dorado: The GPS will bring you into El Dorado via Pleasant Valley Road. Turn left into Oriental Street at the "Welcome to El Dorado" sign. At the T, turn left to the parking lot.

NOTE: Class 3 e-bikes are not allowed on the El Dorado Trail
