Watermelon Run - Follow the leader to Dave's Produce 50-B (BG)
About this event
The Watermelon Run is the return of a Follow the Leader ride. Rated B due to the distance otherwise this 50+- mile ride is flat, flat, flat., but can be a little fast if you want. We leave from Kingsford @ Arden going thru downtown, into West Sac past the ball park, on Village Parkway to South Ride Road finally to Dave's Produce for some well earned cold, juicy watermelon. We keep heading south a few more miles where we cross Freeport Bridge then head for refreshments at Starbucks on Pocket Road, before heading back to Carmichael.
There are no cue sheets or RideWithGps route. The leader and several other rides know the route, however, it's always subject to change. No one is left behind with regrouping as necessary to stay together.
