The region's cultural center Baja is nicknamed the "town of water and good food" or the "capital of Hungarian fishsoup and abuts the Gemenc forests. From here we will cycle on the Danube dike bike path past wetlands and sunflower fields. At the end of today's stretch, we take a ferry ride to Mohacs which gained fame from two important battles against the Ottomans.
