We leave the ship at Pocinho, and travel by van to the heart of the Alta Douro winegrowing area. South of the Douro we begin cycling back to Pinhão in the afternoon. The tiny town is beautifully situated at the mouth of the Rio Pinhão. The small train station, beautifully decorated with the iconic blue "azulejos" is worth seeing.
