Sorry for the late notice about this new ride I developed to ride over the new bike bridges over the American River and Hwy 50 in West Sac. We will start at Glenn Hall in the River Park neighborhood and get on the Two Rivers Trail down to the new bike bridge over the American River and then get on the ARBT to Discovery Park. We will then head to Old Sac, cross the Tower Bridge and make our way on streets to the new bike bridge over Hwy 50 between Jefferson and Harbor Blvds. We’ll then wander through residential neighborhoods south of Hwy 50 with 2-3 coffee stop options along the way. Both routes go by Emile’s Cafe and the Tree House Cafe. Emile’s Cafe is in the new Heritage Oak Park near Village Pkwy and Lake Washington Blvd. It is small and you can’t easily bring your bike into the patio, so if you want to stop there bring a bike lock. If that doesn’t appeal to you there’s always the Tree House Cafe which is the last coffee stop on both routes. Only the long route has the option to stop at Lenise’s Cafe which is the first coffee stop on that route. I will sweep the long route unless no one is doing it. Here are the RWGPS links for the routes:

The ride starts at 9 am from the Glenn Hall Park parking lot. It’s a small lot, so if it’s full there should be street parking along Sandburg Dr.
