Whitey's Jolly Kone in West Sacramento is famous for their seasonal *fresh peach* milkshake. This only comes around once a year and the season is nearly over, so let's head over there while the gettin' is good. Peaches from a local farm are pureed and added to the ice cream before blending, which is as old fashioned as it gets. Lots of calories, but who cares? YOLO.
The ride starts at 9 next Wed. (8/5) from the South Hills Shopping Center at 35th Ave. and S. Land Park Dr. We'll hit Whitey's at mile 19, so the timing's about right for a frosty, fruity sugar/protein/fat infusion to fuel the eight-mile return leg.
