SBH Ride Updates

The forecast for rain on Sunday, Feb, 22, have stayed over the last few days, so I’m moving the Almond Blossoms ride up to Saturday, Feb. 21, since it looks like its going to be dry then. I’m sending this notice out early since I’m moving the date forward and that could affect your plans. Hopefully, there will still be some blossoms with all this rain. I will send out another reminder on Friday with the RWGPS links.

Just a reminder that the Almond Blossoms ride is tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 21. Hopefully, the rains this week have not knocked off all the almond blossoms and the weather looks good for tomorrow (mostly sunny, light winds). It will be a bit cool at the start with a temp of 45F at 10 am, but will warm up to 57F by 2 pm. Here are the RWGPS links for the two routes:

The long route is flexible in that you can do both sides of Cantelow Rd. before the rest stop by continuing down to Pleasant Valley Rd. and then turning around and coming back up. Also, if the climbs turn out to be more than you can handle, the climbs on Cantelow Rd. are designed to be out and back to the top, so you can turn around at any point.

The ride starts at 10 am from the northwest corner of the parking lot next to Steady Eddy's near Railroad Ave. and Abbey St. Some of us will go to Hooby's Brewing Co. after the ride for a recovery drink and/or snacks. Hope you'll join us.
