The route to be used on tomorrow's ride has us stopping at Café Dantorels at 2nd Ave. and 24th Sts. However, due to a recent sharp increase in that establishment's pricing, I have dropped it as the official stop and will never step inside again. There are two options available nearby:
Qisa Coffee, 24th @ Castro--Largely limited to Yemeni coffee-type beverages; see https://www.qisacoffee.com/menu River City Deli & Bagels, 2546 24th St.--Offers a variety of snacks and a limited drink selection; they don't need no stinkin' Website....
I find Qisa's menu far too limited and unconventional (and barely cheaper than Dantorels!); it's fine if you want to be adventurous, but not only is chai latte unavailable, the staff literally doesn't even know what it is. So I plan to stop at the bagel place; while there's not as much room there, at least the fellow in charge knows how to make a chai. Some day I'll get around to changing the route name and the destination, but in the meantime, remember--Dantorels has been nixed.
