SBH Ride Updates

The rain is not supposed to move in tomorrow until the afternoon, but the timing of it varies depending on which forecast you watch. The Weather Channel app has the chance of rain at less than 20% in Gold River until 2 pm when it goes up to 49%. In Roseville, they have 44% chance of rain by 1 pm. We should leave Roseville well before that, but you might want to plan on doing the short route or bring rain gear to play it safe. I’m putting the fender on my rear wheel as a talisman to ward off the rain until we’re done. 😁 I will check the weather forecast again in the morning and post again by 7 am as to whether or not the ride is canceled. The ride starts in the Gold River Town Center across from Rite Aid near the Sunrise side of the parking lot at 9 am.

Looks like the rain will move in a little earlier around noon rather than 1 pm. On the Weather Channel, the chance of rain in Gold River is 24% by noon and 40% in Roseville in Roseville. On Ch. 3 weather, the rain is more like to move in at 1 pm. I’m still willing to lead my ride to Shady Coffee and Tea, but I strongly suggest that people only do the short route and not linger long at the rest stop. I may still cancel the ride after I check the forecast again just before 9 am to be sure it hasn’t changed significantly. Fingers crossed we can still get this ride in before it rains.
