SBH Ride Updates

Upcoming December South Area Rides
Author Last Post
Although we're now officially in my least-favorite time of year, there are four remaining south area rides for 2022:
12/7 (W)--Device Brewing (Rush River) to Husick's in Clarksburg
12/16 (F)--Barrio to 49 Truck Plaza Silver Skillet restaurant
12/22 (Th)--Barrio to Freeport Bakery
12/29 (Th)--Barrio to Carol's (West Sac)
You'll need a lock for the 49er and Carol's rides since we'll be seated inside, with no way to quickly reach the bikes.
As I haven't had much feedback concerning preferred routes, I just rotated some in based on when they were last ridden.
  About the destinations:
Husick's is a historic converted hardware store in the heart of Clarksburg that serves light fare and microbrews as well as other beverages.
The 49er's Silver Skillet is your typical truck stop diner. There's a convenience store/curio shop in the same space, which makes for interesting browsing if you're into that sort of thing.
Freeport Bakery is the go-to stop for artisanal baked goods in the central city area and a good spot for a hot beverage and a calorie-packed nosh if you're so inclined.
Carol's Restaurant is a classic American diner offering classic American fare. Coming up on its 35th year of operation, this spot has hosted many a group of Bike Hikers, Wheelmen and probably other cycling groups in that period.

So head on over to the club event calendar and check 'em out. I hope to see you on as many dates as you can manage.
